The white paper outlines the outcomes of the ICOS project’s two open calls, which funded 19 projects involving 24 companies from 11 European countries to test and extend an IoT-to-cloud meta operating system across multiple sectors. It shows that ICOS was applied in eight business domains, including smart cities, energy management, occupational safety, structural health monitoring, and railway systems, demonstrating broad adaptability beyond the project’s original internal pilots.
