Information Technology Industry Exchange and Cooperation Symposium.
CeADAR was honoured to be invited, as Ireland’s Centre of applied AI and one of Europe’s leading applied AI centres, to meet with high level officials this month from the Government of China and institutions from Hebei Province of China.
Organised by Hebei Provincial Data and Government Bureau the symposium was an exchange of ideas and case studies around smart cities and health science. CeADAR’s CEO, Dr John Lonsdale gave an overview of CeADAR and the Irish AI ecosystem.
The Chinese delegation were particularly interested to learn of CeADAR’s impact in Ireland and across Europe as Dr Ricardo Simon Carbajo, CeADAR Director of Innovation and Development gave an overview of CeADAR’s work with industry in Ireland and in leading major pan-European projects in AI research ranging from Responsible AI to Quantum Computing.
The event was attended by the main leaders of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee and key principals of leading industrial institutions and enterprises including; Secretary Ni Yuefeng, the Secretary of the Provincial Committee and representatives from Xiong’an Future Industrial Technology Research Institute, Zhongming Energy (Hebei) Group Co.Ltd, Shichuang Information Co. Ltd, Hebei Shenyue Software Technology Co. Ltd, Zhongzhan (Hebei) Digital Technology Co. Ltd. Representatives from Enterprise Ireland and Ibec were also in attendance.
