At the beginning of Septmeber, CeADAR, Ireland’s Centre for Applied AI hosted the AI Office of Ireland team and its newly appointed CEO, Paul Byrne.
Established this year through the Regulation of Artificial Intelligence Act 2026, The AI Office of Ireland will act as the primary point of contact for the European Commission, national authorities and the public around matters regarding the EU AI Act.
This meeting was a fantastic opportunity for CeADAR Ireland and the AI Office to exchange insights on the evolving regulatory landscape, and align on strategic priorities for driving safe, impactful AI adoption.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration to support AI literacy across enterprise and public service in Ireland and Europe.
