October 15 - October 16

Digital Talent EU Days 2026

CeADAR, Ireland’s Centre for Applied AI and the European Digital Innovation Hub for AI will participate in Digital Talent EU Days 2026, taking place on 15–16 October at Trinity Business School, Dublin.

The two-day European event will bring together employers, HR and talent leaders, industry bodies, policymakers, innovation ecosystems and organisations working across digital skills, inclusion and diversity. The programme will explore some of the key challenges shaping Europe’s digital workforce, including advanced digital skills, talent development and retention, reskilling, AI, and inclusion.

CeADAR Session: Retaining Talent – Building Careers, Digital Capability and Connection

On Friday, 16 October, CeADAR will lead the interactive session “Retaining Talent: Building Careers, Digital Capability and Connection.”

The session will explore what it takes to attract, develop and retain digital talent in an increasingly AI-driven labour market. Bringing together perspectives from across the talent ecosystem, the discussion will consider lifelong learning, career progression, employee experience, flexibility, upskilling and reskilling, as well as the inclusion and retention of women in digital roles.

Following a facilitated discussion, participants will work in small groups to share their own experiences, challenges and practical approaches to talent retention and development. The insights generated will be captured and shared with the European projects supporting Digital Talent EU Days, contributing to their wider work on digital skills and talent across Europe.

Speakers and contributors include:
Fredericka Sheppard, Managing Director & Co-Founder, Voltedge Management; Ciara Garvan, Founder, WorkJuggle; Mark Skinner, Network Manager, Food Drink Ireland Skillnet; and Yvonne Dillon, Programme Manager, CeADAR Ireland. Laura Plunkett, Programme Manager for CeADAR’s EDIH for AI, will close the session.
