June was particularly busy for CeADAR’s EDIH for AI team, who spent the month on the road attending flagship industry events all across Ireland and Europe, helping to spread awareness for the wide range of fully-funded ecosystem support services on offer through CeADAR’s EDIH for AI Programme. We would like to thank all our partners and funders for the invitations to speak and share the fantastic opportunities available to SMEs and PSOs across Ireland through the EDIH for AI programme, which empowers them in their digital and AI journeys. Below is a roundup of the events we attended in the month of June.
𝗔𝗜 & 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, Brussels
AI & Robotics Estonia hosted CeADAR in the beginning of June at one of their annual marquee events, “AIRE Club Brussels 2, AI Ecosystems Shaping Energy Security and Corporate Strategy”. This event centred around the advancement of AI ecosystems, energy security and industrial innovation across the European Union. Speakers discussed critical topics such as grid resilience, system flexibility, security of supply and infrastructure planning, highlighting the extent to which AI, data centres and digital infrastructure are now part of the same conversation. The reality that energy systems are facing thousands of attempted cyber attacks every day, reinforced the point that resilience is not just about infrastructure, but about preparedness, coordination, information sharing and trust.
EDIH Summit 2026, Strengthening the AI Innovation Ecosystem, Brussels
The EDIH Summit 2026 brought together the full European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) network, EU institutions, Member States, AI infrastructures and innovation actors to examine how Europe’s AI ecosystem functions in practice. Hosted over two days, sessions explored how EDIHs connect organisations with other actors of the EU AI innovation ecosystem, such as AI Factories, Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs) and regulatory sandboxes; how common tools and assessment frameworks support this work; and how proven approaches can be scaled across regions and sectors.
Enterprise Ireland Construction Materials Forum 2026, Dublin
CeADAR attended Enterprise Ireland’s Construction Materials Forum. This event brought together industry, research and policy experts to discuss the future of the construction sector in Ireland. Key themes of the event focused around innovation, sustainability and collaboration within industry, and the need to address
Enterprise Ireland Food Innovation Summit 2026, Dublin
CeADAR attended Enterprise Ireland’s annual Food Innovation Summit 2026 in Croke Park. This event brought together almost 400 food and drink companies, start-ups, researchers, and industry partners for Ireland’s only dedicated event focused on innovation in the sector. The Summit highlighted the strength and adaptability of Ireland’s food and drink industry, as companies continue to innovate and evolve in a dynamic global market. CeADAR’s EDIH team hosted a booth in the Discovery Zone, giving companies a hands-on opportunity to explore the supports available through our EDIH for AI Programme.
AI For Your Services Business, CeADAR x South Regional Skills Forum, Carlow
CeADAR, in partnership with South Regional Skills Forum and ENTIRE EDIH Ireland co-hosted an AI and Cybersecurity awareness workshop in South East Technological University, Carlow. CeADAR’s EDIH Digital & AI Engagement Lead, Ramy Ebeid gave practical tips and examples on how organisation in the services industry can begin to integrate AI into their day to day, explaining more about the support services CeADAR’s EDIH for AI provides in order to empower SMEs and PSOs on their Digital and AI Journeys. Ioana Macovei, Cybersecurity Software Researcher, ENTIRE EDIH Ireland provided attendees with practical insights into the importance of maintaining robust cybersecurity protocols for SMEs.
The FoodTech Conference & Exhibition, Meath
CeADAR attended “The FoodTech Conference & Exhibition”, Thursday, June 25th in Johnstown Estate, County Meath. This event brought together experts from all across the Irish Food and Drinks industry, exploring the technologies, strategies, and partnerships driving efficiency, innovation, and growth throughout the sector. CeADAR’s EDIH Digital & AI Engagement Lead, Ramy Ebeid gave a live AI workflow demonstration, emphasising the opportunities available to organisations in the form of “simple wins”, where basic, easy-to-use AI integrations can help to improve day to day task efficiency.
Deloitte and Buymedia New Media Playbook Lunch and Learn, Dublin
Deloitte in collaboration with Buymedia, invited CeADAR to speak at their New Media Playbook Lunch and Learn. This event brought together senior marketing professionals from all across industry in Ireland to discuss themes such as AI as a creative partner, data-driven media placement and responsible AI in practice. CeADAR’s EDIH Programme Manager, Laura Plunkett participated in a fireside which discussed what it actually takes to build AI capability that works in practice. The conversation centred on balancing creative thinking, practical implementation, and strategic media planning in the adoption of AI in digital media.
Future-Proof Your Manufacturing, FactoryXChange 2.0 Launch, Westmeath
CeADAR attended the official launch of FactoryXChange 2.0, marking the commencement of phase 2 of their representation as one of four European Digital Innovation Hubs based in Ireland. The event brought together SME leaders, policymakers, innovation stakeholders, and partners from across the Irish EDIH ecosystem. Laura Plunkett, EDIH Programme Manager, CeADAR, presented an overview of CeADAR’s own EDIH journey to date.
