CeADAR researchers Fatma Hachani and Aditya Grover represented CeADAR at the fourth ADT4Blue project consortium meeting, hosted by the University of Galway over three days. They participated in the following activities:
- Updated the consortium on CeADAR’s progress across several work packages and deliverables
- Met with partners from University of Galway and with visiting teams from Spain, Portugal, and France to discuss applications of AI in the blue economy in the Atlantic Arc region, collaborations with the industry and start-ups, and next steps in the project
- Toured the Computer & Communications Museum of Ireland, adding a local technology perspective to the gathering
To close the event, they organised the ADT4Blue Entrepreneurship Showcase in association with Data2Sustain, hosted at the PorterShed featuring:
- Keynotes from Dr. Margaret Rae (Konree Innovation) & Dr Robert J. Crammond (UWS)
- Start-up pitches from AgInnovate / TechInnovate alumni / participants
- Insights on upcoming ADT4Blue Open Calls from Raquel Amaral (F6S)
ADT4Blue aims to develop and implement action business ideas for the blue economy using Advanced Digital Technologies (ADT) including Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and the Internet of Things.
The project is launching its second Call in early May. This initiative is designed to accelerate innovation and sustainability in the Blue Economy through the adoption of Advanced Digital Technologies.
The Call is open to innovative SMEs, entrepreneurs, individuals and startups developing digital and sustainable solutions within key sectors of the Blue Economy. ADT4Blue aims to support early-stage companies in developing and scaling impactful technologies across the Atlantic regions.
