On a crisp morning at The Gibson Hotel, CeADAR and the EDIH for AI team, led by Ricardo Simon Carbajo, welcomed delegates to our event, “Empowering SMEs and PSOs to Use AI through the EDIH Programme.”
Insightful Presentations from Key Stakeholders
We were honored to hear from Jean Carberry, Assistant Secretary for the Digital, EU, and Climate Programme Division at the Department of Enterprise, Trade & Employment, who presented Ireland’s vision for embracing digital transformation and AI. Her insights underscored the critical role AI plays in Ireland’s strategy for innovation and economic growth.
Adding to this, Paul Browne from Enterprise Ireland provided an engaging overview of the various supports available to businesses. He also emphasized the increasing importance of cybersecurity, highlighting its integral role in enabling AI-driven solutions.
CeADAR’s CEO, John Lonsdale, introduced Kate Robson Brown, Vice President of Research, Innovation & Impact at University College Dublin. Kate delivered a compelling presentation on UCD’s commitment to bridging the gap between academic research and industry application, making advanced AI knowledge accessible to businesses.
